Safety is our first concern: I have been making toys since 1969, thats 37 years of experience. We do walk a line between safety, beauty, durablity and play value, but safety is first with us, as it should be. All toys meet the federal safety code for toys. The length of string, no balls on the string are all choking hazards. All sizes are correct to code. Wooden toys are famous for being safe.

About the finish: They have not put lead in American paints since 1976. All are nontoxic finishes, with an acrylic top coat that glitters and gleams. We have gone with the "shiny-new toy look" and use a high gloss finish. The acrylic finish not only makes the toy safe, but also keeps it clean. Buy an American hand made toy, a toy made by the hands of someone you know, Harry Griffith, 37 years at the art of toymaking..

Repairs or lost parts: If your toy is in need of repair, send for parts or mail it back for reconditioning. One of the great things about wood and wooden toys is they can be easily repaired. We use just a white glue, like Elmers and 95% of the time you can fix the toy yourself and have it back in service. Pressure helps. Use a clamp or just tape it with masking tape while drying. Many of our toys parts and wheels are just standard parts that you can find in a hardware store or Michaels. But if you are not handy put em in a box and send them to our address. . One
